Support Jocelyn’s 100 Mile Journey

I’m honored to support Sidney Mae Olson’s Rainbow Fund as I train for my first 100-mile ultramarathon. It’s a privilege to contribute to the incredible work that Sidney’s family and friends are doing to create a beautiful and lasting legacy in her memory. I’ve been so moved over the past 2+ years by what’s been accomplished so far and their vision for the future: “Inspired by the legacy of 5-year-old Sidney Olson, we’re on a mission to make every Massachusetts community a place where kids feel free to walk, run, bike, and roll. We give a voice to the vulnerable in the fight for safer streets and vehicles - and open doors for kids to embrace healthy lifestyles early in life.”

I, like many, have personally experienced the increase in dangerous driving and close calls out on the roads, while biking, running and walking our dogs. My husband, Rob, was in a serious accident last year when an SUV nearly hit both of us and he ended up with a totaled bike and long road through rehab. The Rainbow Fund is working with governments, businesses, and other non-profits to implement the solutions for safer streets that exist in many countries, successfully advocating for changes to street design and focusing on 3 key legislative priorities in Massachusetts to make further progress.

The Ghost Train ultramarathon in Brookline, NH on October 18-19 will be my longest endurance event so far. I feel strong going into my final month of training, having finished 2 100K (62 mile) races in the past year to help prepare for this challenge.

I will draw strength and inspiration from Sidney’s legacy and all of your support as I aim to run 100 miles in under 30 hours and finish with a smile. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to honor Sidney and to help make our streets safer for everyone to enjoy..
